Love and books
When Pat was young and beautiful opportunities came easier.
Life was a dream worth living. Pat met recording artists who were
on on “the cutting edge of fame” in her generation.
This fair maiden did not have to work a 9 to 5 job. Her music was all that was needed to pay for cars, clothes, and expenses. What a life! Fame bought everything her heart desired except for the one thing she longed for.
The greatest gift of all. What she would have given it all up for… LOVE.
Years later, fame left, beauty faded. Opportunities were few and far between.
Life was different. Friends were passing away she had known and loved.
Pat got a job at a book shop that sold coffee and books. ( Like a BD Dalton)
One day a man named Larry came in to that book shop and noticed Pat.
He offered to buy her a cup of coffee.
Larry changed Pat’s life and added love and an interest in books.
Over cups of coffee and book readings, they formed a friendship
that turned into love.
Funny thing. Pat’s picture was in a book regarding music trivia from the 1980’s. She smiled as she looked at herself with her famous friends. There was a time where that meant everything to her. Now, cups of coffee and books make her day.
What a difference a day makes. 24 little hours…
