Once there was a man
That I noticed was like me.
A very reserved man
As far as you could see.
He kept his feelings in.
So no one else could see.
The hurt that lay within
That said, notice me.
So he joined the army
And then he took a wife.
Trying to learn to live
A solitary life
.
His son would yearn
For acceptance
His younger daughter too
Following the patterns
The only ones they knew.
His son went into the army
And moved away from home.
The younger sister stayed
and was left all alone.
Favorite sister was loved,
Worshipped and adored.
Little sister played the guitar
And music lyrics poured.
She wanted to be loved
for all that she could be
But married someone
Like her dad and
the rest is history.
