I thank you God
for this Christmas day.
The blessings, this year,
that I have come my way.
Thank you God for family and friends.
May they stay safe and healthy
as this year comes to an end.
I am adding some
more prayer requests.
So others may also
have peace and rest.
I pray for those who have never known
The love of God or a happy home.
I pray for those who will not see
love and family around a Christmas tree.
I pray for those who have lost their way.
Needing hope and cheer this Christmas day.
I pray for those still wishing on a star
Praying for someone that has strayed far.
I pray for those who live in pain
Quality of life is hard to maintain.
I pray for hope throughout the land
That God will hear us and save our land.
I pray for more than silver and gold.
For those who are grieving
and have lost someone
they used to hold.
Those in hospitals or nursing homes
Soldiers overseas that are all alone.
So many things I pray today.
One more thing to add if I may.
That I can experience this Christmas day.
The voices of my children of whom I pray.
Thank you God for all you do.
